I just completed a IT Support class where I passed the CompTIA 901 exam but not the 902. Can I get a discount voucher to take the 902 again and if so what time frame do I have to get the discount and take the test ? Thanks, Lewis Jarman

I'm in a course at Withlacoochee Technical College in Inverness Fl, the exam voucher was already purchased using my Pell Grant, can I get a rebate using any of these discounts?

  • Monday, September 17, 2018

Hi, Daniel! You'll have to check with your school on this one. Good luck!

  • Monday, September 17, 2018

Hi, Lewis! You can absolutely buy a bundle or sign up for the IT Careers Newsletter to get a voucher discount. The others would depend on whether or not you qualify. The voucher expiration date is typically one year from the time of purchase. I would recommend the CompTIA A+ Deluxe Bundle, which includes CompTIA CertMaster Practice for the 902 exam, a voucher and a retake voucher. CertMaster Practice is an adaptive exam prep tool that will help you identify what you know and what you need to work on so you can focus your studies. Good luck!

  • Monday, September 17, 2018

Hi, James! Thanks for your question. Yes, you may purchase a voucher for both A+ and Network+. You'll probably want to take some time to prepare, and CompTIA A+ consists of two exams, so I would recommend starting with A+ and then moving on to Network+. Since you've already graduated, your best bet for a discount is likely a bundle. That will give you not only the voucher, but also training products and a retake voucher, just in case. Good luck!

Hi, John! Thanks for your question. You may be able to get your certification paid for by a nonprofit or U.S. Department of Labor CareerOneStop Center that offers workforce development programs. • Monday, December 3, 2018

Hi, Steve! Thanks for your question. CompTIA does not offer veterans discounts per se; however, there are numerous workforce development programs for veterans that include CompTIA certifications, and you may even be able to use the GI Bill to get certified. Hi, Meredith! Thanks for your question. CompTIA does not offer discounts specifically for active military and spouses; however, you do have options. First, check with your CO, as they may have vouchers available. Also, Creating IT Futures, CompTIA's philanthropic arm, recently launched online classes for IT-Ready and is giving preference to veterans, transitioning military and military spouses. Hi can I pay for the CompTIA security on a U S site and sit the exam in the UK.....cant get any discounts over here

  • Monday, May 13, 2019

Hello! Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, exam vouchers must be purchased in the country that they will be used in - so vouchers purchased from the U.S. store must be used at a U.S. testing center. That said, your school or employer may qualify for discounts - please contact us using the form on this page with specific questions: https://certification.comptia.org/contact-us

Hi, Why is it that student in Canada are not offered student discounts. Why the difference between student in USA and Canada or what are the options for student in Canada.

  • Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Hi, Steve! Thanks for your question. This is because we are only able to verify U.S. students through our current process. However, any of CompTIA's academic partners can facilitate discounts on behalf of their students. If you are interested in getting a discount, please have your school contact us. Good luck!

Hello! I was wondering if the student discount applies to high school students. I am currently enrolled in John Jay Science and Engineering Academy, if that is at all relevant. Thank you!

  • Wednesday, September 4, 2019

Hello! Currently the student discount only applies to students of four-year-degree institutions. Thanks!

  • Scott

    Friday, September 13, 2019

Ditto on Lorin's question. Why not 2-year institutions like community colleges? CC's are where many people start their IT training and degree pursuits, and are more geared toward getting the real-world tech education that CompTIA certs help to demonstrate.

  • Nicolas Guarino

I work for NTTData, as a help desk analyst. They offer free A+ testing to full time employees. My problem is in two years they still havent moved me from my Contracting role to a full time employee. Are there any vouchers that I can take advantage of for savings, as i have been passed over many other jobs ive applied for for others with A+ certs.

  • Wednesday, September 18, 2019

Hello! Thank you for the questions regarding discounts for students at two-year universities. We are able to manually verify the status of students at some two-year colleges. When you check out of the CompTIA Academic Store, you'll be asked to upload documentation showing proof of your student status.
