About CompTIA Server+™

Almost every business needs a server to function. Servers give networked computers a shared resource, storing documents, programs and printer information. CompTIA Server+ was developed in 2001, to validate the skills of technicians who maintain this important technology.

The CompTIA Server+ exam was created with input from industry experts and technical professionals. It was written to test the knowledge of advanced IT technicians, and covers server issues and technology, consisting of installation, configuration, upgrading, maintenance, environment and troubleshooting. An updated CompTIA Server+ exam was released in 2005.
