CompTIA PDI+® Certification

"The cost of savings of using CompTIA PDI+ will be significant from a hiring and training perspective. It will be a tool for hiring managers enabling them to identify legitimate candidates. Considering the total expenses of training an employee, there is a potential for cost savings"

CompTIA PDI+ History

In 2005, CompTIA organized the Printing and Document Imaging Skills Certification Initiative to address the issue of redundancy of training associated with printers, copiers, scanners and multi-function devices. Leading manufacturers and service providers joined together with CompTIA to identify and publish skills standards, and to formulate an exam that encourages educational programs for a career as a printing and document imaging technician.

CompTIA Printing and Document Imaging (PDI+) launched in early 2008. It is the only certification of its kind available worldwide, and provides a benchmark for hiring and promoting technicians who service and support printing and document imaging devices.
