The CompTIA Server+ certification ensures that the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills required to build, maintain, troubleshoot, secure and support server hardware and software technologies, including virtualization. The successful candidate will be able to identify environmental issues, understand and comply with disaster recovery and security procedures, be familiar with industry terminology and concepts, and understand server roles and their interaction in a dynamic computing environment.
The certification is an international vendor neutral credential. It is used by organizations and IT professionals around the globe. For example, Lenovo mandates Server+ for its IT professionals to ensure competency while installing, configuring and maintaining their racks, servers, and blades. These skills are also needed to support Lenovo’s mission critical systems and server enhancements, such as storage, networking, memory, processor, racks and power options. CompTIA Server+ helps identify the IT professionals with these skills.
