Currently Seeking CompTIA CTT+ Subject Matter Experts
for CompTIA CTT+ Virtual Classroom Certification Module

CompTIA is currently seeking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in the development of CompTIA CTT+ Virtual Classroom module. The current CompTIA CTT+ credential will be enhanced to include a certification track for synchronous online instructors. The enhancement will position CompTIA CTT+ as the premier credential for validation of instructor skills, both in the classroom and online.

SMEs will be required to bring recorded examples of synchronous online sessions with them to the workshop. The sample should contain the same level of instruction that a classroom session for CTT+ would contain. It should be a maximum of 20 minutes, cover each of the 12 Subdomains, have a minimum of five learners, and show a variety of activities during the session.

All files that SME’s bring with them need to be recorded on a CD, and must be formatted for replay in Microsoft Media Player or in a self-executing media player application.

SME Requirements:

  • Two years experience working in the field of training in a synchronous online environment. It is preferred that SMEs are CompTIA CTT+ certified.
  • Ability to commit to a two-day (eight hours per day) workshop. The date of the workshop is June 19-20, 2008.
  • Agree to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) enforced for a period of three years. Please review the document and make sure you have a thorough understanding of the terms within, prior to submitting an application. (The content with the SME NDA is subject to change without notice).
  • Submit an updated resume that highlights your training experience to be considered for this role.

SMEs will receive (pending full participation):

  • All information and materials required to complete the given tasks.
  • Continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages during meeting days. Dietary restrictions will be accommodated. One group dinner at a nearby restaurant will also be provided.
  • Recognition for you and your organization (if provided) on the CompTIA CTT+ About Page.
  • A stipend of $300 per day.
  • A CompTIA-branded item of recognition for your participation as a Subject Matter Expert.
