Mike Meyers Talks CompTIA Network+

Posted on Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Mike Meyers is excited about the updated CompTIA Network+ certification exam.  Meyers shared some of his thoughts on the new version of the exam in this podcast, along with recommendations and other insights.

“If you want to do anything in networking, I don’t care if you want to become a router-head, or do local network administration for a Windows network, or if you want to set up Web servers for DNS – I don’t care what you are doing,” Meyers said. “CompTIA Network+, in terms of ‘ooh, ahh’ factor of getting cool conceptualizations, base conceptualizations into your head, can’t be matched. There’s no other certification out there like it and I think that is why so many people all over the country, all over the world are becoming huge fans of (CompTIA) Network+ …. If you like networks and don’t know where you want to or where you want to be, (CompTIA) Network+ is – you just gotta take it!”

The updated CompTIA Network+ will available in January 2009. The update of CompTIA Network+ is in keeping with CompTIA's practice of continuous and ongoing review of its certification content to assure that it addresses the latest changes in technology and reflects the skills needed by tech workers and required by employers.
